Abstract: In this article I attempt to share with readers my knowledge and experience gained in working with Belarusian Canadian Alliance and practical conclusions that have resulted from many meetings and cooperative projects enacted by Belarusian diaspora in various countries. I stress the need to create organizations at the grass-root level to strengthen Belarusian diaspora. I also discuss basic stages of “life cycles” for such organizations and present practical advice for every stage.
