Abstract. Brazil is a country to which Belarusians have fled from wars since at least the beginning of the 20th century. Those streams of migration are not well studied today, the descendants of the immigrants of that time mingled with representatives of neighboring nations, Ukrainians and Polish, and, with time and the change of generations, assimilated. The migration of Belarusians to Brazil at the beginning of the 21st century was not marked by mass and unification. Polling stations for Belarusians in Brazil were never created. The mobilization of the diaspora in 2020, at the height of the pandemic, began in August, on the eve of the Belarusian presidential elections, with the creation of local online communities in social networks and discussion of news from the homeland. After the intensification of repression at home, Belarusians began to come to Brazil in search of political asylum. In December 2020, the People’s Embassy of Belarus was established in Brazil, within the respective global framework. For two years, it has been informing the local media, politic, diplomatic and civil communities about the current situation in Belarus, holding informational and cultural events: Belarusian Culture Weeks, Belarusian poetry recitals and multimedia exhibitions dedicated to Belarusian women’s protests.
