Radaslau Kaleta (Warsaw, Poland): “The Belarusian Language, Literature and Culture in Latest Textbooks for Belarusian Children of Padliasha (Poland) Published by the AB-BA Coalition”

Abstract. The article “Belarusian language, literature and culture in the latest textbooks for children of Belarusians in Podlasie (Poland), published by the Association “AB-BA” shows the activities and educational achievements of the public organization “AB-BA”. The author also analyzes the last two textbooks of Alina Vauranjuk – “Kolazvarot” (2021) for the fourth grade and “Blizkija slovy” (2022) for the fifth grade – in which a lot of attention is focused on the formation of patriotism in students. All textbooks by Alina Vauranjuk introduce you to the world of Belarusian literature, culture, and the reality of the life of the Belarusian national minority in Poland. Respect for the native language and cultural-linguistic heritage of Podlasie, the small homeland of the students, is formed.
