The written by S. Paniznik introduces us into the period between two world wars and places us into the Latvia. It is remarkable that at that time the Belarusian cultural life existed in this country despite the total difference between the free and the slave worlds. It was possible thanks to many real and sincere Belarusians such as K. Ezavitau, S. Sacharau, and others, who could support the Belarusian soul abroad. Imagine, in 20-40th of the last century you may visit performances of Belarusians artists in Latvia, celebrate the important events including those inspired by our famous national leaders and poets, J. Kupala and J. Kolas. The article is ammended by photos from the author archive.
