Piotra Murzionak: Essay: I CAN’T SEE FROM A FAR or The Captain is Still Missing
#37
(about publications dedicated to the ways and means of achieving the Belarusian goal in the late 20th and early 21st centuries)
(webzine “Culture. Nation,” issue 37, November 2025, pp. 7-25, http://www.sakavik.net)
Abstract. I decided to write this essay because many thinking Belarusians live after the defeat of the revolution – 2020 in a time of uncertainty and confusion – after the forced emigration of more than half a million active, nationally conscious Belarusians abroad, and again in the absence of clear and certain ways to achieve the Belarusian goal. Recently I listened to Prof. Matskevich, Who plans to hold a kind of game to indicate some specific ways out of the crisis in Belarus. A completely valid idea, both for the education and self-organization of Belarusian forces, and for real steps to accelerate changes in Belarus.

Abstract. Jesus Christ called a group of people together and told a parable to which various invited people, who apparently did not know each other. Some responded with joy when others refused the invitation. Why did this happen? Let’s review the parable and try to understand its meaning.
А. Simakou: Landowners dream of prairies: a indzeyanistyaka in estates
(webzine “Culture. Nation,” issue 37, November 2025, pp. 30-37, http://www.sakavik.net)
Abstract. At the center of our review, as those who are distinguished by the most significant Indian component and a clear connection to estate complexes, we put examples of magnate and gentry (noble) families – the Radziwills (the work of M. Bohus-Shyshko is related to them), Rumyantsevs and Paskeviches – there is a significant amount of information on their collections and occupations, but F. Bulgarin, A. Tyshinsky, U. Voit, Ya. Karlovich, M. Radzevich and others also deserve attention.

Abstract. It has been 40 years since the Chernobyl tragedy occurred on April 26, 1986. Even after so many years, the effects of radiation contamination are still being felt. Here we would like to present an article written in 2001 by Ivonka Survila, who took the tragedy to heart and did a lot to help Belarusian children recover from the effects of radiation by bringing them to Canada. Translated into English by Alexander Karalkevich. The original Belarusian version is attached (published in the newspaper “Belarus” #471 in 2002) https://belarus8.tripod.com/hazeta/gady.htm
Piotra Murzionak: Russia against Ukraine War – Clash of Civilizations
(webzine “Culture. Nation,” issue 37, November 2025, pp. 50-114, http://www.sakavik.net)
Abstract. The relatively calm “geopolitical” period in the world that could be observed after the collapse of the USSR has returned with new force in the form of a drive toward a new division of the world, which can now be outlined quite clearly. One of the hotspots where the Great Powers collide—attempting to change European borders that until recently seemed stable—is the war unleashed by aggressive Russia against Ukraine, the country that has had much in common with Belarus in its historical and cultural inheritance since the IX-X centuries. An analysis of the roots of Russia-against-Ukraine war leads us deep into history and shows that its causes have civilizational nature.
